Miss Capital City 2008 - Megan Ensley

Megan Ensley is a 20-year-old student at Wichita State University. She is a native of Topeka and is proud to represent her hometown at Miss Kansas 2008. Megan is a 2005 graduate of Topeka High School, where she was actively involved in the musicals, choirs, band and various clubs. She has been singing since she was five years old and continues to pursue her talent at Wichita State, where she has been a cast member of five operas and musicals. Megan’s 10-year involvement with hand bell choirs at First Baptist Church of Topeka, inspired to her to start a children’s hand bell choir at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Wichita. Megan believes it is so important for adults to become involved with children’s lives through the process of mentoring. Which is why she chose Mentoring: Everyone Counts, as her platform and has partnered with Communities in Schools to educate adults on how to become involved with their community. Megan is a Communication major and a member of Delta Gamma Fraternity.
